The world scholars’ cup is an international competition which brings together students from different schools. The competition is team debates, collaborative essay writing, scholars challenge questions, scholars bowl and talent show. It is held regionally and internationally.
This competition has several advantages such as;
- It is a forum where students share their ideas, opinions, and understanding on various topics.
- Students through interaction, get to know each other and share their learning experiences.
Our school was represented to the event by a group of 54 students which formed 18 teams. The teams participated in all the events and won a total number of 99 Gold medals, 58 Silver medals and 5 trophies. The senior team won 1st position in group debate beating all schools. The junior team finished 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in team debates. Our teams also excelled in collaborative essay writing competition and in scholars change, leading in science, Literature and arts subjects.
The world scholars cup global round competition is scheduled to take place in Beijing, June 21 – 26, Astana, July 8 – 13, The Hague, July 21 – 26, Sydney, August 15 – 20, Manilla, September 6 – 11 and Durban, September, 23 – 27.
Special thanks go to the English Department teachers for taking their time to prepare the teams, students who showed commitment and determination during preparations and competition. It is a success to the whole Feza community.
